How to Measure Accurately
Comparisons are only meaningful when everyone measures the same way. The Veale et al. (2015) baseline was built from clinical measurements using the bone-pressed technique below. Follow it and your numbers line up with the data.
Prepare
Measure fully erect, in a warm room; cold and arousal level both change the result. Use a rigid ruler for length and a soft tailor's tape for girth.

Length (bone-pressed)
Stand with the penis parallel to the floor. Place the ruler on top of the shaft and press firmly into the pubic bone to compress the fat pad; measure to the tip of the glans.

Girth (mid-shaft)
Wrap the tape around the mid-shaft, not the glans, snug but not tight. Read the value where the tape meets.

Be consistent
Measure 2–3 times on different days under similar conditions and average the results before entering them into the calculator.
